About

I've spent 12 years making platforms boring — in the best way.

I'm Atif Farrukh, a Senior Platform Engineer. I've built and scaled the infrastructure behind fast-moving product teams — from scrappy startups to orgs of 400+ engineers.

Along the way I learned that the hardest platform problems aren't technical — they're about friction, incentives, and the metrics teams choose to chase. Now I help engineering leaders cut that friction so their teams can ship without fighting the tools.

I write about it openly at DevOpsUnlocked.dev, and I take on a small number of hands-on engagements each quarter.
